Determinants of offenses against women in city of Srinagar, Kashmir
Abstract
This paper explores the various determinants contributing to offenses against women in Srinagar, Kashmir. Given the region's complex socio-political and cultural environment, this research aims to provide a nuanced understanding of the factors that increase women's vulnerability to violence. By examining social and cultural norms, the impact of ongoing conflict, economic factors, legal and institutional failures, and community dynamics, this study presents a comprehensive analysis of the underlying causes of gender-based violence in the region. The research also explores potential solutions through policy reforms, social interventions, and educational awareness programs.
