Abstract

Ancient vaidik era ritual of Agnihotra used to be practiced by sages for multiple purposes viz healing the nature in turn nature heals us. Main impact of this holy ritual was on agriculture.

Our vedas, puranas ‘upnishads and myriad of holy books are replete with benefits of Agnihotra. Purpose of study on Agnihotra an ancient fire ritual is to to disseminate the scientific benefits of ritual of Agnihotra and utilize the knowledge of benefits of Agnihotra in modern era to increase the quantity as well as quality of agriculture.This ancient Agnihotra Ritual is not only religious ritual rather it has scientific base also.The current paper suggests ways to incorporate this ancient system of Agnihotra in modern day production systems.
