Livelihood issues of Tribals: A Case study of Tribals in Odisha

Abstract

The research study highlights on the relevance of livelihood issues of Tribals in Odisha, emphasizing the pressing obligation for supportable, context-specific involvements in a state where unevenly 22.75% of the populace are tribes, including 62 distinct groups. Despite rich natural resources, Odisha's tribal communities look long-lasting poverty, land alienation, and displacement due to unavoidable situations. A case study method, predominantly in districts like Kandhamal, Sundargarh, and Koraput, reveals that traditional livelihoods are under danger from climate change, land degradation and adverse impact of  Covid 19.
